ETHICAL STANDARDS

PCH Signature Auctions conducts all business in accordance with professional auction industry standards and is committed to integrity, transparency, and fairness in all transactions.

All property offered for sale is consigned, and all descriptions are prepared in good faith using information supplied by the consignor and observable characteristics at the time of cataloging. Descriptions are provided for identification purposes only and are not intended to create warranties or guarantees of any kind. 

GOOD FAITH & ACCURACY

PCH Signature Auctions  does not knowingly misrepresent property and avoids descriptive language that implies certainty where uncertainty exists. Attribution terminology is used consistently and in accordance with accepted auction industry practice.

INDEPENDANCE & NEUTRALITY

PCH Signature Auctions acts as agent for the consignor but retains independence in the conduct of auctions.

  • Estimates represent opinions only and are not assurances of value or outcome.

  • Auctions are conducted without practices intended to mislead or artificially influence bidding activity.

RESPECT FOR BIDDERS

We endeavor to provide a fair and professional bidding environment.

Bidders are encouraged to conduct independent due diligence prior to bidding and may request additional information when available. All bids are accepted and administered in accordance with published Terms & Conditions and platform rules.

RESPECT FOR CONSIGNORS

Consignors are treated with discretion and professionalism.

Consignor identities are kept confidential unless disclosure is required by law or expressly authorized. Consignment agreements and settlement obligations are honored as agreed, and property is handled with reasonable care.

We are committed to clearly disclosing all material terms governing each sale. Terms & Conditions, attribution definitions, and bidder obligations are publicly available and apply to all auctions.

Information disclosed to PCH Signature Auctions by consignors will be reflected in lot descriptions where appropriate. Unless expressly stated, PCH Signature Auctions does not independently research or verify provenance, catalogue raisonné inclusion, or scholarly authentication.

PCH Signature Auctions complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and marketplace platform requirements governing auctioneering and online commerce.

Operations are conducted in alignment with accepted international auctions standards and are subject to periodic review to ensure continued compliance.

Except as expressly stated in writing, PCH Signature Auctions makes no warranties of authenticity, authorship, attribution, provenance, date, medium, or condition.

All property is sold AS IS, WHERE IS, and bidders assume full responsibility for forming their own opinions prior to bidding.

This Code of Ethics forms an integral part of the Terms & Conditions governing all auctions conducted by PCH Signature Auctions. 

​In the event of any conflict between descriptive content and the Terms & Conditions, the Terms & Conditions shall prevail.
